Beroa Deutschland carried out the refractory erection of the hot blast stove WE2 from 4th of July to 20th of September within the scheduled time, with zero accidents and respecting client guidelines and quality specifications.

09/2012 BEROA Australia (BAU) won contract in Papua New Guinea
BEROA Australia in partnership with Koch Knight Australia won contract in Lihir Island (Papua New Guinea) of Newcrest Mining.
BAU installed refractory and membrane lining of one autoclave. This is the largest brick lined autoclave in the world spanning a massive 47 m. long with a diameter of 5.6 m.

08/2012 Karrena Glass order from Pilkington
Karrena Glas has received the order for the steelwork of the project Coldrepair GL 1 in Gladbeck (Germany) from Pilkington/NSG. The coldrepair of the floatline is a spot-rebuild after 8 years in production. The scope of the work is the removal, modification and installation of the steelwork for the glass furnace and the tin bath. Between 15 and 20 employees are involved in our part of this project in a time of approximately 12 weeks.
07/2012 Reconstruction of the anode furnace nº 2 of Aluar in Puerto Madryn, Argentina
BEROA Iberia with support of BEROA Argentina and KarrenaMex are reconstructing the Pechiney tecbology anode furnace with fifty sections of five pits each. Installation of 4,800m3 of materials and 200 people working on it.
07/2012 CRI’s contract in Greece for Hellenic Petroleum in Elefsis
CRI, one of the BEROA Group companies, got more than 2.75 Million US$ contract for refractory lining of flexicoker unit, including reactor, heather and gasifier. Engineering started in february 2011 and will be completed by the end of 2012.
06/2012 Beroa Deutschland project at HKM Duisburg
Beroa Deutschland, BEROA’s Group subsidiary awarded an order for a new reinforced concrete chimney for the extension of coke oven plant of HKM in Duisburg, Germany.
06/2012 Steelcon awarded new order for steel plant in Port Talbot, U.K.

05/2012 ICC builds new chimney for Guardian Glass in Thailand
International Chimney Corporation, a BEROA’s subsidiary, has awarded a contract to demolish an existing 100m concrete chimney and build a new one at the Nongkhae plant in Thailand. This is the second chimney ICC has built for Guardian in Thailand. The BEROA Group has built chimneys for Guardian Glass in countries like USA, Russia, UAE, South Africa, Mexico and Brazil.
05/2012 Refraline rebuilds an electric arc furnace for Oman Mining Co.
Refraline (Pty) Ltd., a company of the BEROA Group, has been awarded a contract to demolish and rebuild a electric arc furnace for Oman Mining Company, which has taken place in the beginning of 2012. Refraline (Pty) Ltd is working closely with Oman based company, BEROA Gulf, who assists with skilled labour and equipment.
04/2012 Steelcon builds four chimneys in Turkmenistan
Steelcon, a company of the BEROA Group, awarded a new order for 4x100m. steel chimneys for a refinery in Turkmenistan from a Korean customer. The chimneys have been designed, prefabricated and are to be delivered now.
04/2012 Steelcon delivers steel chimney for Stena
Steelcon, a company of the BEROA Group, awarded a new order for a 75m. steel chimney for Stena aluminum plant in Älmhult, Sweden. The chimney was designed, prefabricated, manufactured, erected and delivered on time in January 2012.
03/2012 Bierrum wins contract with SSE Generation Ltd. Slough Heat and Power
Repair and strengthening of one of the existing natural draught cooling towers. Activities incluye the survey of the cooling tower, concrete repair work too. Stregthening works involve carbon fibre wrapping to the inside and outsider of the shell. The work will last for six months from end of february.

02/2012 Altac awards maintenance contract in PS10 Solar Plant of Sanlucar la Mayor
Altac, subsidiary of BEROA Group, has awarded maintenance work of the tower of Abengoa’s Solar Plant PS10 in Sanlucar la Mayor, Seville. Altac designed and built the tower. These last years we are specializing more and more into the Solar Sector.
01/2012 BEROA builds central tower of Tonopah Solar Park
Kic and Altac, BEROA’s Group subsidiaries, have been awarded by ACS, subsidiary of Cobra, with the design and construction of a solar tower at Tonopah, Nevada. One of the first solar plants with this technology in the USA. Project will end in autumn 2012.
01/2012 Steelcon awarded a new order for Nigeria
Steelcon, a company of the Beroa Group, will erect two steel chimneys. A main stack with a height of 46,9 m, and a bypass stack with a height of 36,4 m. Both chimneys with one inner liner. Instalation has started in fall 2011.

Steelcon, a company of the BEROA Group, will design and manufacture a 98 m. steel chimney with a structural shell of 27 cm. in diameter and a GFK inner line of 22 cm. It will be delivered in July 2012.

Karrena Saudi Arabia, a company of the BEROA Group, has been awarded with a contract for the Glass Sector in Saudi Arabia, to build new fiber making glass tank furnace including forehearths, quenching chambers and spouts. The plant will be built between 2011 and 2012.

The scope of services include construction of Three 75m. steel chimneys each with a structural shell of 2.500 mm. in diameter and an inner liner of 1.400 mm. in diameter. The chimneys are to be delivered at the beginning of 2012.
10/2011 Karrena Saudi Arabia, a company of the BEROA Group, awarded a new contract in the Steel Field
The contract is to install reheating furnace, recuperator, stack and associated ducts in the plant.
This new plant is designed and supplied by German technology with a Steel Melt Shop. The work is to be completed within 2011.

09/2011 BEROA signs joint venture with indian company Uniseven
The scope of this agreement is to operate together in the indian refractory market through the new merging company, BEROA Uniseven. BEROA reached €192 Millions of order volume during the first half of 2011, 15% more than previous year. BEROA Uniseven has started its first project after being awarded a contract for refractory lining and monitoring of a steel plant.

09/2011 New waste incineration Plant
Steelcon, the steelstack manufacturer of the BEROA Group, was awarded a new order for a waste incineration plant in Moscow, Russia.
Chimneys are to be constructed and delivered in Autumn 2012 and Spring 2013.
09/2011 Joint Venture secures Solar Tower Project in US
Karrena International Chimney (KIC) and ALTAC awarded a Solar Power Tower (to design and build) which will form an integral part of the first commercial Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) project in the United States. The Solar Tower concrete portion 52’ diameter and 535’ high. The Energy Project will utilize CSP technology, with a central receiver tower and the advanced molten salt system technology from United Technologies Corp. (UTC). The project is located in the high desert of Nevada and will generate 110 MW of clean, renewable electricity. The scheduled completion of the CSP tower is fall of 2012.

07/2011 Gemasolar begins operations
Gemasolar, 19,9 MW Power Plant, the first Solar Power Plant in the world with continuous production 24 hour a day, begins operations. Altac, a subsidiary of the BEROA Group, participated in this unique project, providing the engineering and construction of the Solar Tower. The power plant is located in Fuentes de Andalucía (Sevilla), Spain and will be the milestone for the new generation of Solar Power Plants.

CRI, one of the BEROA Group companies, got more than 10.5 Millions US$ contract in China for Refractory Lining of 8 jumbo Catofin Reactors in Tianjin Bohua Propylene Plant .The scope includes Engineering, Project Management and Installation Supervision, Refractory Material Procurement and supply. Engineering starts in June 2011 and completion is forecast ending 2012. Dry out for April 2013.
07/2011 BEROA will participate in the construction of the world largest coal fired power station in Medupi, South Africa
BEROA has been awarded the contract for the construction of two large concrete chimneys within a new coal fired power station being constructed by Eskom in South Africa. When completed, this will be the largest coal fired power station in the world. The scope is to design and construct 2 reinforced concrete chimneys of 220m height, approximately 24m in diameter and with 3 internal liners of approximately 9,0m in diameter each.

BEROA has started the chimney works for a key project in South Africa in the Power Plant Kusile. Kusile will have two reinforced concrete chimneys of 220m height, approximately 24m in diameter and with 3 internal liners approximately 9,0m in diameter each. BEROA is responsible for the engineering and the foreign portion of the material supply and has a share of 20% of the chimney contract.
