During the five-year existence of CRI, Chimneys
and Refractory International, its team has developed
more than 90 projects for both the maintenance
and the design and execution of industrial chimneys.
Certain projects are worth more than ten million
euros, such as the design and construction of
four 120-meter chimneys lined with borosilicate
blocks, which are being constructed for Alstom
in the Rumanian city of Rovinari.

Many projects, developed in Chile, Portugal,
Egypt, the United States and Italy, are the result
of the internationalization of CRI, which also
operates in countries like Indonesia and Vietnam.
Internationalization, together with the solid
experience and specialization of the professionals
on the CRI team, are the main strengths of the
company compared with competitors. With an average
of 19 years of experience, both the management
team and technical workers have specialized qualifications
in refractory material and chimney construction.
Roberto Antonini, Abele Biraghi and Giovanni Di
Poi, as Managing Directors, are at the forefront
of this team structured into five differentiated
areas: Sales, Purchasing, Design, Construction
and Administration.
All projects are executed according to a management
procedure that begins with assigning a Project
Manager, who reviews the contract and assesses
work needs following a specific template listing
the project planning activities. On large projects,
the guide developed by the Project Manager includes
manual labor, subcontractors, procurement, licenses,
logistics and the budget.
For Abele Biraghi, Managing Director, “Affiliation
with Beroa offers CRI professionals the possibility
of exchanging experience, knowledge and local
working procedures. Our policy, -he adds- is to
bet on investment in new technologies and new
generations of professionals”.
