Beroa has signed a joint venture agreement with the Indian company Uniseven.
Beroa has signed a joint venture
agreement with Uniseven in order to
work together in the Indian market for
refractory lining. Beroa Uniseven is the
resulting firm, and Beroa has 51% of the
shares.
Uniseven is a company affiliated with the
Jiwanram Sheoduttrai Group. That firm
owns Nilachal Refractories, former Tata
Refractories in India, and has acquired the
assets of Sirma Refractories in Italy.

The company produces aluminum furnaces
in India and has joint ventures with Sarralle
for steel melt shop equipment, Jaso for
lifting and handling systems and with NRL
Clayburn for monolithic refractories and
bricks for the global aluminum industry,
among others.
The agreement signed establishes mutual
exclusivity for refractory business in
India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and
Myanmar; excluding the glass sector, the
coke sector and ceramic welding.
This joint venture has the aim to set up a
company able to market its know-how in
India and to carry out the projects together
with the rest of the group companies.
Beroa Uniseven was awarded a contract
for refractory lining for a steel plant in Syria
and is currently offering two aluminum
projects in India.

Step by step the company will establish
itself in the Indian market, which has to
become an important source of business
for Beroa Uniseven
